What is the difference between the standard and special model?
"yes" The special model has flow control installed, additionally it has tilt valves. Where as the "no" standard model has rotary valves with no flow control.
The Profitec Pro 600, launched in 2018, is a professional-grade coffee machine consistently receiving five-star reviews. It's a dual boiler espresso machine with PID control, featuring a 1-liter steam boiler and 0.75-liter brew boiler. This compact, reservoir-fed machine uses a vibration pump and boasts Profitec’s latest E61 group design, with an easily adjustable brew pressure located behind the drip tray.
The Pro 600 offers impressive steam power, performing at near-commercial level. It takes less than 20 seconds to steam 6 ounces of milk, with a boiler recovery time of just 30 seconds, making it ideal for preparing back-to-back drinks. The machine includes a stock two-hole steam tip for excellent microfoam and easy latte art.
The PID control ensures stable and accurate brew temperatures, and it offers additional features like an automatic shot timer, adjustable brew and steam temps, and an eco-mode for standby. The steam boiler can be turned off, and the PID displays both temperature and shot time.
The Pro 600 comes equipped with both single and double spout portafilters, filter baskets, and a backflush disc. Behind the drip tray is easy access to the expansion valve, allowing simple brew pressure adjustments. The drip tray itself rests on slides to prevent scratching.
Externally, the machine features a 2.8-liter water reservoir and a non-burn steam and hot water wand. The steam and hot water valves are designed with wear-free sprung valves, making them easy to operate. The stainless-steel exterior, complemented by modern matte black panels, gives the machine a sleek, modern look.
For a matching grinder, the Profitec Pro T64 is a great option, offering stepless worm gear adjustment and 64mm flat burrs. The grinder’s powerful motor grinds more than 4 grams per second, with two programmable grinding presets for precise dosing.
Internally, the Pro 600 is designed with quiet operation in mind. The vibration pump is mounted on rubber to minimize noise. If you prefer a rotary pump or a plumbable machine, the Profitec Pro 700 Drive is an excellent alternative, offering larger capacity and direct plumbing capabilities.
